Sichuan House

A Glasgow Sichuan kitchen doing the real thing, sold short for years by phone photos under fluorescent light. We brought the brand, the photography and the menu up to the standard of the cooking.

What we did

Photography that does the food justice

We built a proper lighting and shooting plan for the kitchen and the dining room, replacing washed-out phone shots with a full set of hero images and short-form video for social.

A 32-page menu read cover to cover

The menu became a book closer to a magazine than a list, with photography running full pages. Diners read it end to end and order dishes they would never have thought to try.

One standard across everything

Brand, web and menu brought to one level, so the whole experience reads as the serious kitchen it is. Sichuan House runs tight and detail-driven, which only makes the work better.

The outcome

  • Sichuan House reads as a more premium restaurant since the redesign.
  • One photography library runs across the menu, the website and social, replacing the old phone snaps.
  • An ongoing relationship across brand, web, photography and menu, not a one-off project.
